The PCAN-Diag FD is a handheld device for diagnosing CAN and CAN FD buses at both the protocol and the physical layer. It shows live CAN traffic, records and plays back traces, and sends single frames or sequences. A two-channel oscilloscope (up to 100 MHz sample rate) displays CAN-High, CAN-Low and their difference, with triggers on frame start, errors, IDs and bit-rate switches. It also detects the bit rate automatically, measures bus load, termination and pin voltages, and has a listen-only mode. The 800 x 480 display, internal rechargeable batteries, memory card and micro HDMI output make it a self-contained field tool; a PC with the PCAN-Diag FD Editor is used for configuration. An optional J1939 add-in is available. This is a CAN bus analyser, not a manufacturer-specific vehicle diagnostic tool. OEM diagnostic software and licences are not included.
