PROTAG is Abrites' key and transponder reader/programmer. Connected to the Abrites AVDI Plus interface it reads, analyses and helps program vehicle keys and transponders as part of Abrites key-programming procedures. PROTAG can also be used on its own with the free Abrites Key Inspector mobile app (Android/iOS) to identify and read data from a key or transponder without a PC. It is also part of the Abrites Vehicle Inspection Kit, together with the VIN Reader/MODI and a carrying case. Note: AVDI-based key programming requires the AVDI Plus interface and the relevant brand software license; OEM software and licences are not included.

Abrites PROTAG is a key and transponder programming tool used together with AVDI, an active AMS and the relevant brand license (BMW, Mercedes-Benz incl. IR keys, Jaguar/Land Rover, Hyundai/Kia, Subaru, BMW motorcycles). It does not work as a standalone diagnostic tool. Cable sets, adapters and key blanks are accessories and are not entered. Coverage is entered at brand level; model lists are not published by Abrites. Years are given only where Abrites states them. Many functions need an active Abrites Annual Maintenance Subscription (AMS) and separately sold brand licenses. Please check your VIN with the manufacturer before purchase.
