G-scan Tab is an affordable Windows-based diagnostic solution from EZDS. A small Bluetooth vehicle interface (GVCI, 58 x 74 x 36 mm, 90 g, 7-35 V DC, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR) connects wirelessly to a Windows tablet, laptop or desktop PC that runs the G-scan software, so no cables are needed between the scan tool and the vehicle. It shares the G-scan and G-scan 2 database, excluding pre-OBD II (OBD 1) vehicles, and includes Hyundai and Kia software. Functions include automatic system and DTC search, live data with auto-scaling graphs, actuation tests, special functions (coding, learning, initializing), 2-line DTC descriptions, data logging with direct feedback to the engineers, and smart update over the internet. Limitations stated by the manufacturer: no 24 V commercial vehicle support and no J2534 pass-thru. The PC or tablet needs Windows 10 or later, a display of 1200 x 1800 or higher, an Intel Bay Trail-T Z3735F processor or better, 2 GB RAM, 15 GB free space and Bluetooth 2.0 or higher. The G-scan Tab is marked as sold out on the manufacturer's website. Supported vehicles and functions depend on the installed software; check the manufacturer's vehicle coverage list.
