VDIAGTOOL D502 is a brand-specific Bluetooth scanner for Ford and Lincoln vehicles. Used with the VDIAGTOOL app on iOS or Android, it gives full-system diagnostics across all ECUs (engine, transmission, ABS, SRS, BCM and more): read/clear codes, 8-channel live data, freeze frame, ECU information, auto scan and vehicle performance test. Generic OBD2 functions work on any OBD2 vehicle.
Bidirectional control activates ABS pumps, fans, injectors, windows, door locks, solenoids and valves. 49+ Ford-specific special functions include service resets, relearns, adaptations, calibrations, battery matching, steering angle reset, injector coding, ABS bleeding and TPMS relearn. Supports CAN FD (no DoIP). J2534 pass-thru is available as a paid add-on ("D502 J2534 Programming Lifetime Unlock" in the VDIAGTOOL Function Store): with a Windows 10+ PC, the VDIAGTOOL J2534 driver and the official OEM software you can then reprogram modules. Diagnostic packages for other brands can be purchased.
The D-series is a compact Bluetooth VCI (no screen, no battery) used with the free VDIAGTOOL app for Android and iOS: download the app, register, scan the QR code on the device to activate it and plug it into the OBD2 port. Updates are free for life through the app.

D502 is a Ford-specific scanner: full-system diagnostics and service functions for Ford and Lincoln (US, EU and Australian Ford software); other makes get generic OBD2 only – diagnostic packages for other brands can be bought in the Function Store. VDIAGTOOL sells a "D502 J2534 Programming Lifetime Unlock" (needs OEM software on a Windows PC). Makes and service functions are taken from VDIAGTOOL's own online coverage database (vdiagtool.com/support/vehicle-coverage, checked 2026-10-08). VDIAGTOOL publishes no model-year ranges per make, so makes are listed from 1996 – the real coverage depends on model, year and system; check your VIN with VDIAGTOOL before buying. Generic OBD2/EOBD functions work on the other common makes (US-market vehicles from 1996, EU-market petrol from 2001 and diesel from 2004). Chinese-market joint-venture versions (e.g. SAIC-VW, FAW-VW, Beijing Benz, Brilliance BMW), Brazilian GM and commercial vehicles beyond the heavy-duty packs are not listed here. Truck and bus coverage (Hyundai, Isuzu, GAZ, PAZ, Jinlong, JMC, depending on the model) comes from VDIAGTOOL's heavy-duty packs; VDIAGTOOL is a 12 V tool, so 24 V vehicles may need an adapter.
