Vgate vLinker MS Bluetooth is an Apple MFi certified OBD-II adapter for iPhone, Android and Windows. It adds GM high-speed CAN (CH-CAN, pins 12/13) and Fiat low-speed CAN (LS-CAN, pins 1/9) to the vLinker FS, for 5 CAN channels in total: HS-CAN, MS-CAN, SW-CAN, CH-CAN and LS-CAN. Up to 3 Mbps, OBD requests up to 4 KB, hacker-proof, free online firmware updates, BatterySaver sleep / wake-up. Works on 12V and 24V petrol vehicles and light diesel vehicles up to 6.5 t. Many apps are Android-only; check iOS support with the app provider.
Functions depend on the app, e.g. reading/clearing codes, live data, module resets, and coding / configuration of hidden features in FORScan or BimmerCode. Over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature and battery-drain protection; firmware updates from Vgate.
The adapter only provides the vehicle connection; the diagnostic app is chosen by the user. Some apps (or their advanced functions) are paid and are not included. Coverage depends on the vehicle and the app.

Generic OBD2 functions on OBD2/EOBD-compliant cars and light vehicles using standard OBD-II protocols. Vgate states "all 1996 and newer" but gives no list of makes, models or model years; EU-market vehicles are entered from 2001 (petrol) and 2004 (diesel). Functions depend on the third-party app you choose (not included); paid apps and paid app functions are not included. Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda: full-module scan, manufacturer codes and configuration through the FORScan app (Android / Windows). BMW and Mini: coding through the paid BimmerCode app (about 2008+; check the app website for your chassis). Five CAN channels (HS-CAN, MS-CAN, SW-CAN, CH-CAN, LS-CAN); Vgate does not list which vehicles use the extra channels. 12 V / 24 V operation is stated, but no heavy-duty vehicles are listed. The adapter itself does not provide manufacturer-specific diagnostics or service resets. Heavy-duty vehicles, motorcycles and OBD-I vehicles are not listed by Vgate.
