Vgate vLinker FD+ is a Bluetooth (classic + BLE 4.0) OBD-II adapter made for FORScan on Ford, Mazda, Lincoln and Mercury, working with iOS, Android and Windows. It supports the Ford medium-speed CAN (MS-CAN) in addition to the standard protocols and is compatible with the ELM327 AT and STN ST command sets (15 ELM, 23 STN and up to 64 user-defined protocols). Automatic sleep and wake-up, free firmware upgrades. On Android pair "vLinker FD-Android"; on iOS connect in the app.
Functions depend on the app, e.g. reading/clearing codes, live data, module resets, and coding / configuration of hidden features in FORScan or BimmerCode. Over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature and battery-drain protection; firmware updates from Vgate.
The adapter only provides the vehicle connection; the diagnostic app is chosen by the user. Some apps (or their advanced functions) are paid and are not included. Coverage depends on the vehicle and the app.

Notes added by the manufacturer that apply only to the vehicles listed below — the function itself is supported.
Generic OBD2 functions on OBD2/EOBD-compliant cars and light vehicles using standard OBD-II protocols. Vgate states "all 1996 and newer" but gives no list of makes, models or model years; EU-market vehicles are entered from 2001 (petrol) and 2004 (diesel). Functions depend on the third-party app you choose (not included); paid apps and paid app functions are not included. Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda: full-module scan, manufacturer codes and configuration through the FORScan app (Android / Windows). Adds Ford/Mazda MS-CAN. 12 V only: Vgate says not to use it on 24 V diesel vehicles. The adapter itself does not provide manufacturer-specific diagnostics or service resets. Heavy-duty vehicles, motorcycles and OBD-I vehicles are not listed by Vgate.
