Vgate vLinker MC (Bluetooth 3.0) is a high-speed OBD-II adapter recommended for FORScan and BimmerCode on Android and Windows (not compatible with iOS). Compared with the iCar Pro it has a 2 KB data buffer, up to 500 kbps UART, OBD requests up to 1024 bytes and access to GM single-wire CAN (GMLAN) and Ford/Mazda medium-speed CAN in addition to the standard OBD-II protocols. Compatible with the ELM327/ELM329 AT and STN ST command sets. BatterySaver sleep with up to 5 wake-up methods; on Android press the switch first and pair "vLinker MC-Android".
Functions depend on the app, e.g. reading/clearing codes, live data, module resets, and coding / configuration of hidden features in FORScan or BimmerCode. Over-voltage, over-current, over-temperature and battery-drain protection; firmware updates from Vgate.
The adapter only provides the vehicle connection; the diagnostic app is chosen by the user. Some apps (or their advanced functions) are paid and are not included. Coverage depends on the vehicle and the app.

Notes added by the manufacturer that apply only to the vehicles listed below — the function itself is supported.
Generic OBD2 functions on OBD2/EOBD-compliant cars and light vehicles using standard OBD-II protocols. Vgate states "all 1996 and newer" but gives no list of makes, models or model years; EU-market vehicles are entered from 2001 (petrol) and 2004 (diesel). Functions depend on the third-party app you choose (not included); paid apps and paid app functions are not included. Ford, Lincoln, Mercury and Mazda: full-module scan, manufacturer codes and configuration through the FORScan app (Android / Windows). BMW and Mini: coding through the paid BimmerCode app (about 2008+; check the app website for your chassis). Adds access to Ford/Mazda MS-CAN and GM single-wire CAN (GMLAN); Vgate does not list which GM models or functions work on single-wire CAN. Android and Windows only for MC (Bluetooth 3.0). The adapter itself does not provide manufacturer-specific diagnostics or service resets. Heavy-duty vehicles, motorcycles and OBD-I vehicles are not listed by Vgate.
