Description

Official Mazda vehicle communication interface that replaces the Mazda VCM II. It works with Mazda IDS, MDARS and MDARS II and is the only interface approved for MDARS II. Supports CAN, CAN FD and DoIP for diagnostics, ECU programming, configuration and service functions over a USB connection. Compact Denso hardware. Manufacturer software, licences and subscriptions are separate from the hardware unless stated above. Sold by Maverick Diagnostics, often with an optional rugged laptop bundle.

Compatibility disclosure

Official Mazda interface replacing the Mazda VCM II, the only one approved for MDARS II. Models and years are those listed by Maverick (Mazda2 from 2014 to CX-70 from 2025; CX-5 from 2026 uses MDARS II). Requires Mazda IDS, MDARS or MDARS II and a Windows 10 or 11 PC (not ARM). Manufacturer software, subscriptions and licences are bought separately from the hardware unless stated.
