It communicates with the vehicle over SDLC and pairs by Bluetooth with an Apple or Android tablet running the FordDiagNow app, with automatic firmware updates over Bluetooth. Covers Ford vehicles from 2010 (except the B420 Ka). Also offered with a Samsung Galaxy Tab Active4 Pro rugged tablet. Manufacturer software, licences and subscriptions are separate from the hardware unless stated above. Sold by Maverick Diagnostics, often with an optional rugged laptop bundle.
