OBDSTAR DC706 is an ECU tool for engine (ECM), transmission (TCM) and body modules of cars and motorcycles. It works by OBD, BENCH, BOOT, BDM or JTAG and is mainly used for ECU cloning when a control unit is replaced.
Functions: read ECU info, read/write EEPROM / D-flash / P-flash / MAP, virgin reset, IMMO PIN code reading, ECU recovery and cluster mileage correction in modules. Coverage (per manufacturer): 2,050+ ECM types, 510+ TCM types and 180+ body/other ECUs (airbag, BCM, BSI, CEM, DIM, EPS, keyless RFHUB/RFHM, KVM, SAM...). ECU makers: Bosch, Continental, Delphi, Denso, Magneti Marelli, Siemens, ZF, Getrag, Temic, Visteon and more. Car brands: BMW, FCA, Ford, GM/Opel, Hyundai/Kia, JLR, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, PSA, Subaru, Suzuki, Volvo, VW group and others. Motorcycles: Aprilia, BRP, CFMoto, Piaggio group, QJ Benelli (e.g. Delphi MT05, BRP ME17.8.5).
Available in 7 software configurations. Some functions need the P003+ / MP001 adapters.
Hardware: Android 5.1.1 tablet, RK3128 quad-core CPU, 7-inch capacitive touchscreen (1024x600), 16 GB storage, 3700 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, micro SD slot up to 32 GB, about 766 g, 243 x 148 x 36 mm.
Cluster (odometer) recalibration is intended for legitimate repairs only, e.g. after an instrument cluster or control module has been replaced or repaired. Changing a vehicle's recorded mileage to mislead a buyer is illegal in most countries.
Function coverage depends on the purchased configuration and software activations - check the coverage list on obdstar.com before buying. OEM dealer software and licences are not included.
